About the family
Giltblade is a condensed serif with a showman's posture. The vertical stems are thick and each one carries a single white line down its middle, so the black splits into two rails, while the horizontals stay as fine hairlines. Short bracketed serifs square off the feet. The lowercase is just as narrow as the caps, and the figures stand tall enough to share a line with them. Light is crisp and airy; Regular is the one that shouts from a wall. It has the feel of a painted sign above a shop that has been open for a hundred years, even though it has not.
