How it looks in use
Chamfercross
Thick vertical plates, thin horizontals and every corner cut at 45 degrees. Space age, but sharp.
Chamfercross
About the family
Chamfercross is built from heavy vertical plates joined by thin horizontal strokes, with every corner clipped at 45 degrees. Nothing is round. The o is an octagon, the figures are wide and blocky, and the whole thing has the look of an arcade cabinet or a 1970s sci-fi paperback. The contrast is high, so the horizontals nearly disappear at small sizes and the words turn into rows of bars. Four weights push the verticals from lean to hefty. Keep it large. It shines on dark grounds with a bit of glow nearby.
